Introduction to Java

In the late 80's a revolution was going on in the field of microprocessor chips, Which led to the invention of served computers. Sun Microsystems anticipated this development in the market and formed one team led by James Gosling which included Patrick Naughton and Mike Sheridan in june1991. A secret code name was provided to the team that is Green.

The team worked and formed the language and called it as Oak, after the Oak tree which was present out side the office of James Gosling. But, later on it was found that there was already a programming language, which was registered on the same name. So, this language was renamed as Java, and the idea to name this language as Java come from a coffee which is formed of Java Island Located in South East Asia.

Sun Microsystems, officially announced about Java in May 1995 at one of the conference of industry. Since, the Java has been ruling the market because of it's versatility which helps to create enterprise based application.

·         First official version of java is launched in 1996 ,called JDK 1.0 .

·         It is platform independent programming language.

·         It is an Object oriented programming language used for developing ........
